Looking for Spring Activities in New Hampshire? Here are Five

It might be mud season but New Hampshire is still chock-full of outdoor adventures.

5 New Hampshire Spring Activities:

1. Explore the Lupines (Early June) – Sugar Hill

Mud season is all but over. Summer is knocking on the door, and fields of lupine flowers spread out for as far as the eye can see. Head for Polly’s Pancake Parlor and then explore the roads in the area to find expansive fields.

2. Chase Waterfalls (After Snow Melt) – White Mountains

Spring, after the winter melt, is a great time to chase waterfalls all throughout New Hampshire. Some options include the Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch or Arethusa Falls in Crawford Notch State Park. Both require a hike, with Arethusa Falls being the more challenging. Be ready for some snow even late on the season on the way to Arethusa Falls.

3. Annual Sheep and Wool Festival (May 9-10) Deerfield

New Hampshire Sheep and Wool is a family event providing education and vendors about shepherding and the fiber arts at Deerfield Fairgrounds in Deerfield.

4. Annual WOKQ Chowder Festival (June 6) – Prescott Park in Portsmouth

Kicking off the Prescott Park Arts Festival’s Summer Season, the Annual WOKQ Chowder Festival features chowder from a number of local restaurants. The event is rain or shine and includes kid-friendly activities, ice from The Prop, and a DJ.

5. Brewery Tour
